Secretary - Suki Tagger

Suki is the Honorary Secretary for APTUK and her role is to act as a point of contact for Technicians/ others when contacting APTUK. In addition, she prepares agenda’s & venues for National Officer Meetings and inputs into the work of APTUK. Suki is also a part of the Administration team of ATPUK working with other Officer’s on our planned objectives over the coming 2 years that focus on the administrative tasks of APTUK.

Suki is currently the Honorary Secretary for APTUK having been endorsed to fulfil this post for 2 years at the AGM during Conference in 2010, and also previously held the post from 2008/09.
Prior to this Suki was a National Officer for APTUK in the post of Employment Relations Officer NHS and Other from 2004 to 2009 
Suki is also a  current branch member of the West Midlands Branch of APTUK and also acted as Branch Secretary for the Northampton Branch from 2001 to 2004.
I began my career as a pharmacy technician as a student at City Hospital in Birmingham. On qualification I worked for a number of years as a rotational technician before moving into the field of aseptics. During my time in aseptics I have worked at various hospitals and in industry across the breadth of the West Midlands as a static technician initially and finally as Senior Technician in my last 2 posts. Leaving aseptics behind I have now returned to the beginning and work as a Band 5 rotational technician at City Hospital, in additional I am a qualified NVQ A1 assessor and checking technician and enjoy the experience of working in my current role.
