Vice President - Tess Fenn
During her career Tess has been an active member of the Association of Pharmacy Technicians UK and was elected as Education Officer in 2004. In this role, Tess leads on the education and development strategy and responses to all aspects of educational change affecting pharmacy technician statutory regulation and professional development. Tess presents APTUK on the NHS Education & Development Support Staff Specialist Group, Association of European Pharmacy Technicians and is a member of the Modernising Pharmacy Careers Board. Tess leads the Association Education sun group, leads and judges the Associations awards and is a CPD facilitator.
Tess began her career as a pharmacy technician in 1970 and has worked in a variety of pharmacy sectors; hospital, academia, community and PCT. She currently practises as Pharmacy NVQ & Technical Staff Development Manager at Guy’s and St Thomas NHS Foundation Trust, London where she leads on support staff development, CPD and quality assurance of NVQ/QCF provision. Tess is also a professional tutor at a FE/HE college lecturing on the pharmacy technician technical certificate knowledge course. Through her commitment to quality assurance Tess extended her practice by becoming a Pharmacy Services External Verifier for City and Guilds in 2005
