Richard Chapple

Richard is currently the website officer for APTUK, helping to develop and look after the day to day running of the website, re-directing emails, updating news and pages, I am part of the communications team. He is continually trying to help spread the word of APTUK via the website and welcomes any comments to help improve the site.

Richard joined the RAMC at the age of 19 back in 1989. He began his career as a Combat Medical Technician and soon transferred to the specialist trade of Medical Supply Technician. He has deployed to the first Gulf Conflict at the age of 20 (along with Steve Acres). In 2000 Richard trained and transferred to being a Pharmacy Technician.
Richard's career has taken him around the globe, completing service in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Croatia, Bosnia (Twice), Falkland Islands (3 Times), Canada, Iraq and Afghanistan.
He is currently working for Army Primary Healthcare Service (Eastern) Region based in Colchester and was awarded AAH/APTUK Pharmacy Technician of the Year Professional Award 2008.
