Conference Day One - 18 June 2010 News

Hello and welcome to the news feed direct from the 2010 APTUK Conference, Cranage Hall, Holmes Chapel, Cheshire

The Conference will be opened by the President of APTUK, Sarah Wilcox

APTUK are privaledged to have Bob Nicholls CBE, Chair, General Pharmaceutical Council as their keynote speaker.

Following on from Bob Nicholls CBE will be Jonathan Mason who is the National Clinical Director for Primary Care and Community Pharmacy of the Department of Health who will be speaking on The future direction for pharmacy: opportunities and challenges.

We then welcome Martin Stephens, National Clinical Director for Hospital Pharmacy from the Department of Health who will talk on High quality care - hospital pharmacy technicians' contribution.


The afternoon session will be finalised by The rise and rise of pharmacy technicians - from
disinfectant dilutions to bedside discharges given by Jane Hare,Director of Pharmacy,Walsall Manor Hospital.
