The National Board of APTUK is made up 12 officer posts held by a number of voluntary officers who in their main day job work in a variety of roles as pharmacy technicians across different sectors of pharmacy.
The role of a National Officer demands commitment and passion from members who can bring their experience of different sectors to the table, thus ensuring different viewpoints are heard when helping APTUK work through our objectives.
The National officers work in small sub-groups, namely the administration, communication and education sub-groups on smaller projects and work as a larger group of National officers on strategic matters.
In 2012, APTUK is looking for members to be nominated to fill the following posts:
President (2 year term)
Secretary (2 year term)
CPD (2 year term)
Website (2 year term)
Media (2 year term)
The post of Secretary will be vacant from the 30th June 2012, and a separate co-option recruitment process is in progress to recruit to this post to cover until the end of AGM.
Publicity (1 year term)
Treasurer (1 year term)
Editor (1 year term)
The Publicity, Treasurer and Editor posts are advertised for a 1 year term only to ensure APTUK complies with byelaw 5 d to ensure not all officer posts are vacant at the same time.
APTUK would not have survived the past 60 years without the efforts of members who have volunteered their time to work on behalf of the membership as a national officer; once again APTUK calls on the membership to step forward and volunteer to serve as a national officer.
