Pharmacy Technician Journal - Advice to contributorsThe Pharmacy Technician Journal aims to publish items of interest primarily to members of the Association of Pharmacy Technicians. This includes original practice research and articles on all aspects of healthcare pharmacy practice, including service developments, education and training and management and organisational matters. The Editor is willing to give help and advice in the preparation of articles for the Journal (see contact details below). General requirementsElectronic submission of material is preferred, either by email or on disk. The text should be typed with as little formatting as possible and saved as either a Word (or Word-compatible file or rich text file. Material should be emailed to the editor. Pictures should be of the highest quality possible. The most suitable format is colour print photographs. Photographs should be posted to the editor. Papers and articlesPapers and articles are welcomed and are accepted on the condition that they are subject to editorial revision and that the content has not been published elsewhere, except by prior agreement. Papers and articles should be 1200 - 1500 works (fewer if accompanied by tables, pictures or diagrams). Tables should be as simple as possible. Graphs, pie charts and histograms should be submitted with their data, as they may have to be redrawn or converted to tables. References should be numbered consecutively, using Arabic numerals, in the order in which they appear in the text. Citations should comprise author's name (initials preceded by surname), no periods after initials, complete title of the article, name of the journal (Indes Medicus abbreviation) year, volume, first and last page numbers. Meeting reportsContributed reports of APTUK meetings will be considered. Reports should cover the main points made by speakers and any interesting or controversial points made during the discussion. Letters to the EditorLetters should not normally be more than 300 words and APTUK reserves the right to abridge them. All authors must sign letters and a contact telephone number should be supplied. Letters are accepted on the understanding that they have not been published elsewhere.When a letter is critical of an individual or organisation, details may be sent to the person or body concerned so that a response may appear in the same issue. Sounding BoardThe "Sounding Board" column is open to any writer. Contributions of approximately 700 words commenting on topical issues should be sent to the Editor for consideration. News itemsShort reports of matters of general interest, including details of forth coming events, are welcomed. Authorship and pseudonymsAuthors' names may appear with either their position title or their APTUK position (or both). It is helpful to provide an email address if available. The use of pseudonyms is permitted only at the discretion of the Editor. APTUK Advertising Information

All colours, including images, should be in CMYK and all fonts must be embedded. If non-CMYK colour spaces are used we have to convert them to CYMK which may result in some visible colour shift. We cannot accept responsibility for any resulting colour shifts. If you cannot supply as PDF, please contact us and we can advise on the suitability of the format you propose to use.
