Q.     I am an overseas Pharmacist or Pharmacy Technician. Can I join APTUK?

A.     APTUK is the professional leadership body for Pharmacy Technicians working in the United Kingdom. As such our services are targeted at assisting our members maintain the standards required to register with the Pharmacy regulators in the United Kingdom. We are unable to provide this level of support for Pharmacy professionals working in other countries. Q.     I live in the United Kingdom and I have an overseas qualification as a Pharmacist or Pharmacy Technician. Can I join APTUK?

A.     If you are able to join the regulator’s register of Practicing Pharmacy Technicians then you can join APTUK. APTUK does not provide a qualification mapping service. If your qualification is not one of those on our list of acceptable qualifications then you will need to provide proof of your registration with either the Royal Pharmaceutical Society GB or the General Pharmaceutical Council, that is, a copy of your registration certificate.

Q.     Can APTUK help with the overseas RPSGB registration process?

A.     No but there is ample guidance that lists all the requirements on the RPSGB webpage?

Q.     Can APTUK help me find work as a Pharmacy Technician in the UK?

A.     No. APTUK does not provide work experience or employment placements.
