APTUK Members webinar – PRINCIPLE trial

The PRINCIPLE trial is a UK-wide urgent and priority public health trial aimed at finding Covid-19 treatments for recovery at home. Join this webinar to find out how you can get involved 20th May 2021 7-8pm.

The PRINCIPLE trial is investigating the use of existing medicines in the treatment of Covid-19 in the community. Professor Mahendra Patel, national pharmacy research lead for the trial, is wanting to provide information to the pharmacy technician workforce on the trial with an aim to raise awareness and recruitment of participants.

If you work in primary care, you may have contact with eligible patients over the phone or their relatives purchasing medicines on their behalf – they could be eligible.

If you work in secondary care, you may have contact with eligible patients returning home after hospital treatment taking discharge medicines with them – they could be eligible.

If you work in a care homes, you may work with eligible residents.

You will all have access to potential eligible trial participants through your relatives, colleagues, other staff members and of course maybe yourself!

APTUK are delighted to welcome Mahendra to deliver a 30-minute presentation to APTUK members on the trial and how you can get involved.

This will be followed by a question-and-answer session.
