Joint Letter to Pharmacy Professionals and Pharmacy Teams

On 26th November 2020, a joint letter of support to pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and pharmacy teams throughout the UK during the second COVID-19 wave from the UK's Chief Pharmaceutical Officers, the General Pharmaceutical Council and the Pharmaceutical Council of Northern Ireland was published.   

The letter thanks pharmacy teams for their work during COVID-19 pandemic and recognises the pressures faced. It reiterates how pharmacy professionals should continue to use their professional judgement to make sure people receive safe care and calls on pharmacy employers across the health service to ensure you are well supported.

The letter notes the continued flexible approach to regulation in light of the pandemic and acknowledges work ongoing to support students and pre-registration trainees.
