Association of Pharmacy
Technicians UK (APTUK)
The Professional Leadership Body for Pharmacy Technicians
APTUK invites applications for their annual awards from pharmacy technicians to showcase their achievements and input into patient care.
Pharmacy Technicians are invited to produce a poster to display at Conference. All delegates get the opporuntiy to vote for their favourite throughout conference and winners will be featured in the APTUK journal as well as highlighted on the APTUK website and on the Helapet Website.
The Pharmacy Technician of the year award is an exciting opportunity to showcase pharmacy technicians work in practice. There are three categories for this award - Innovation, Leadership and Patient Safety. Pharmacy technicians from all sectors are encouraged to enter under one of these headings.
Shortlisted applicants are invited to present their work at the annual conference in a short presentation.
This award is open to pharmacy technicians who have shown outstanding contribution over the past 12 months and symbolises the best of the profession. We are looking for pharmacy technicians who have promoted the role or shown a determination to engage in activities over and above their day to day duties that deserves wider recognition.
The APTUK Branch Award acknowledges the ongoing dedication, enthusiasm and commitment of Pharmacy Technicians running local branches voluntarily in their community.
APTUK branches are the key to disseminating information from National Board level to its members, and likewise passing information from members back to national officers.
They also provide a vital networking link for sharing of best practice and delivering educational sessions specifically linked to pharmacy technician practice.
All active APTUK branches are able to enter for the Branch Award
An honorary membership category, ratified at AGM by members, was introduced in June 2011, to enable APTUK to acknowledge exceptional service, given either to the association or to The Pharmacy Technician profession generally, by a person who is not eligible to be a member of APTUK.
The membership category of “Fellow” is open to all members of the Association, who demonstrate loyalty to APTUK and the pharmacy profession and are well respected. It is in recognition of exceptional professional performance or outstanding service contribution to pharmacy or the Association either locally or at national level.
