Antibacterials

This module, based on CPPE's focal point programme on Antibacterials, is designed to give pharmacy technicians an overview of this area of practice.

• Understand how pharmacy can help to optimise outcomes in antibiotic therapy, while minimising harm
• Be able to describe the application of antimicrobial guidelines to ensure appropriate antibacterial use
• Be aware of the issues of antimicrobial resistance and how to reduce its impact in a community setting.
