It’s difficult to know when ovulation happens, so couples may visit the pharmacy for advice and products to help pinpoint the best time during a woman’s monthly cycle to try to conceive.

Learning objectives

After studying this module, assistants will:

  • Understand the stages of the female monthly cycle
  • Be aware of the importance of good pre-conception care and a healthy lifestyle
  • Be able to advise on the use of ovulation and home pregnancy tests
  • Be familiar with the early signs and symptoms of pregnancy.
