Critical Care Pharmacy Technicians training programme 2025

NHS England funded Critical Care Pharmacy Technicians training programme

Are you a pharmacy technician working in or interested in Critical Care? Perhaps you run a pharmacy team in critical care and want to upskill and diversify? The University of Bradford School of Pharmacy and Medical Sciences are delighted to announce that NHSE have commissioned them to run their funded 12 month training pathway in critical care for pharmacy technicians for a second year. This programme will run from September 2025 through May 2026 and will provide you with the skills and knowledge needed to provide high quality and safe pharmaceutical care as part of a multi-disciplinary critical care team.

This blended learning programme will be delivered with a mix of in-person and virtual study days facilitated by clinical experts in critical care, and on-line self directed study. You will be expected to have a workplace supervisor who will support you to develop a portfolio of evidence against a range of learning outcomes including demonstrating awareness of governance and risk management processes, showing impact in patient care through clinical interventions, and the conduct of an audit or service improvement project.

The induction study day is on September 24th 2025 at the University of Bradford and applications are open now. For more information and an application pack please contact critcarepharmtechs@bradford.ac.uk
