Have you registered with the GPhC since the introduction of the new standards for the initial education and training of pharmacy technicians (2017)?
Are your qualifications aligned with those standards?
If the answer to the above questions is 'yes', you are invited to take part in a study about your experiences of training to be a pharmacy technician in the UK, including your views of supervision and support in the workplace.
The GPhC has commissioned an independent study, led by ICF an independent research organisation, in collaboration with the Centre for Pharmacy Workforce Studies at the University of Manchester, to understand more about whether the GPhC’s new standards for the initial education and training of pharmacy technicians (2017) have helped pharmacy technicians prepare for their roles.
This study will feed into plans for educational reform, where the GPhC is looking to review the current standards in the next few years.
The survey should take no more than 15-20 minutes to complete, and all responses will remain strictly confidential. Your response will help the GPhC make sure that it can set the right standards for the education and training of pharmacy technicians in the future.
