On October 28, 2024, the Centre for Research Equity at the University of Oxford convened a high-level, independent Multidisciplinary and Multiprofessional Parliamentary Healthcare Forum drawing leading voices from across healthcare professions, government, academia, and patient advocacy groups.
This diverse assembly of stakeholders with the depth and breadth of intelligence gathered from across the four nations of the UK is the first of its kind. It underscored a collective commitment to transforming the NHS and addressing persistent challenges within the UK’s healthcare system through meaningful multidisciplinary and multiprofessional collaboration.
The summary report consolidates the key discussions and actionable recommendations from the forum, focusing on three primary areas:
