Aim

To help community pharmacy technicians support pharmacists in achieving positive outcomes for people with first prescriptions for antidepressants 

Objectives

After completing this module and its online counterpart, pharmacy technicians will be able to:    

  • Know how to talk to people who present with prescriptions for antidepressants for the first time
  • Understand the changes being made to the New Medicine Service with respect to depression 
  • Be familiar with the common side-effects of antidepressant medication.
