External Research Requests

APTUK welcomes high‑quality research that supports the development of the pharmacy technician profession. We receive regular requests from universities, healthcare organisations and researchers, and we follow a clear process to ensure all projects align with our values and protect our members’ time and privacy.

How Requests Are Reviewed

All external research requests are reviewed by APTUK Board of Directors and/or APTUK Fellows.

Before You Submit a Request

  • To help us review your project efficiently, please ensure you have the following ready:
  • A short project summary (max 250 words)
  • Participant Information Sheet (if available)
  • Evidence of ethics approval (if required)
  • Final survey link or interview/focus group details
  • Final wording for circulation (max 150 words)
  • GDPR/data protection statement
  • Supervisor details (for student projects)
  • Explanation of how pharmacy technicians are represented in your study
