Pharmacy Pride: Inclusive Leadership and Learning Series (PPILLS)

Throughout June 2026 all events focus on increasing LGBTQIA+ awareness & develop inclusive practice

APTUK Pride Branch are proud to host this first national series of events focused on increasing LGBTQIA+ awareness and developing inclusive practice amongst the pharmacy profession.

Across four days and consisting of twenty-one sessions, the Pharmacy Pride: Inclusive Leadership and Learning Series (PPILLs) will showcase and share the experience and expertise of speakers from all corners of the pharmacy professional workforce. Joining them will be advocates for LGBTQIA+ rights, national health advisors, leaders in health and LGBTQIA+ charity organisations.

Sessions will include topics on LGBTQIA+ healthcare and inequalities, research practice, clinical considerations, leadership, organisational benchmarking, partnership skills and much more!

THE BENEFIT:

  • Delivers basic and advanced education on LGBTQIA+ topics to the whole pharmacy workforce, pharmacy support staff, pharmacy technicians, pharmacists and trainee pharmacy professionals
  • Informs attendees what services and resources are available to them and their patients/customers to signpost or utilise.
  • Sharing of best practice.
  • Gain access to high-quality educational sessions delivered by charities in return for raising vital funds for these charities.
  • Networking opportunity to meet like-minded individuals across the UK.
  • Celebrate PRIDE!

We have a packed programme, full of inspirational talkers from key stakeholders, such as:

  • Association of Pharmacy Technicians UK
  • Royal College of Pharmacy
  • NHS England
  • CPPE
  • PDA LGBT network

View the full programme to learn more about each webinar and register to attend. The session title and registration links have also been added to the bottom of this page.

Access to these events is free for any member of the Pharmacy workforce, this includes registered staff and non-registered, Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Support Workers! A big part of this event is raising awareness of vital charities and LGBTQIA+ health inequalities, and so while all sessions are free to attend, we do ask kindly for your donations throughout which will be split equally between all partnering charities:

  • Stonewall
  • LGBT Foundation
  • Switchboard LGBT+
  • Mermaids
  • OUTpatients

All donations collected are voluntary and will be split equally between the listed charities. 100% of the money donated will go directly to these charities. APTUK will not receive, handle, or retain any donated funds and is not affiliated with any of the listed charities. Please scan the QR code or visit GiveWheel
